Melbee is operated by LC Computer Build and Repair ("we"). This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
What we collect
- From businesses: your name, email, password (stored only as a secure hash), business details, and settings.
- From people contacting a business through Melbee: name, phone or email, messages, and booking details they choose to share.
- Payments: cards are entered on Square's secure forms. We store Square's reference to a card, never the full number.
- Technical data: IP addresses are used briefly in hashed form to limit abuse, and our hosting provider keeps standard logs.
If you contacted a business that uses Melbee
That business decides how your information is used and can see your conversation. Replies may be written by AI on its behalf. For questions or requests about your information, contact that business first.
How we use it
We use information to run Melbee: answering leads, sending confirmations and alerts, billing, keeping the service secure, and providing support. We don't sell personal information, and we don't share one business's data with another.
Who processes it for us
- Netlify hosts the app.
- Neon hosts the database.
- Groq runs the AI that reads messages and writes replies.
- Square handles payments and subscriptions.
- Resend delivers email.
How long we keep it
We keep workspace data while the account is open. Ask us to close your account and we'll delete your workspace, except what we must keep for legal or billing reasons.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct, or delete your information through our contact form. Depending on where you live, you may have other legal rights, and we'll honor them.
Security
Each business's data is kept separate, connection data is encrypted in transit, and Square access tokens are encrypted at rest. No service can promise perfect security.
Children
Melbee is for businesses and isn't directed at children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
